The end of its reply
I solved it by hand, working from the cells with the fewest candidates. Each choice was forced by a row, column or box constraint, with one fork late in the solve. Taking one branch there (r7c1=7) led to a complete grid with no conflicts. I did not work through the other branch (r7c1=9) to show it fails, though the puzzle is stated to have a unique solution. I then checked rows, columns and boxes for repeats and found none. <grid> 293871645 578694132 416523978 149782563 682315497 357469821 735146289 961238754 824957316 </grid> <confidence>96</confidence>
